under the dashboard in the drivers footwell you will see module with 3 multiplugs into it. (you have to get into an awkward position to see it). just un-plug (ignition off!) these plugs, wait 1 min approx and plug back in. re-code remote as per manual (if you want the procedure confirmed just let me know). this works 99.999% of times, takes 2
Basically the boot wouldnt open, by the external button or the button on the remote, i managed to open the boot by removing the lining on the inside, disconnecting the latch electrics and unscrewing the latch, lifted the boot leaving the latch locked at the bottom then connected + to pin 1 on the latch and common to pin 2, actuating the lock
As i found out, if your car has been made befor 19.6.2007 it has a faulty steering lock module that has to be replaced and a software update on a KVM module (which is in the back) has to be made. And if the car was after 19.6.2007 just an update of KVM is needed. Also a TSB 29/2008 is fords way of fixing the problem.

No Power To Driver's Door. I have a 2007 mk4 Mondeo estate. The driver's electric windows/mirror/folding mirror panel has recently been a bit intermittent. Drivers side electrics. My Mondeo is a 2009 (59) and has, in the last few days, developed an electrical issue. I can't control any of the windows or use the electric mirrors using the door controls. The central locking works only on the passenger side (and boot & filler cap) - I have to manually lock the front and rear driver's side doors.
I am having to lock the door manually as the remote key doesnt seem to be working. I am assuming the key is faulty or the battery is flat. The only way round this at the moment is to open the door, turn off the ignition, jump out of the car, lock the door manually then run away quickly. Also as i approach the car it will unlock itself and again
