Hi Gang I put this problem on Talkford a few weeks ago but didn't get much support so I'm hoping that someone on here has got a clue to what is wrong with my car. My car is a 2007, MK4 Mondeo Titanium X, TDCi 2.0 Diesel, manual gearbox, 140PS and 130k miles on the clock. For a few weeks I've been Hi everyone again, Today my mondeo developed a strange power loss. Engine revs up to 4000 / 5000 even above easily when gears are not engaged and also in first and second gear when driving. But the problems starts in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th gear when i push the accelerator pedal to floor to overta #1 · Jan 10, 2013 (Edited by Moderator) Hi I have a Mondeo 2010 Petrol Car. On cold mornings I cannot disengage from reverse gear. I have to switch off the engine and depress the clutch pedal 4 or 5 times before I can disengage. Once the engine is restared it wont engage into 1st. I have to double declutch a few times before I can engage 1st gear. Replaced the clutch master cyclinder, not a big job just in behind the clutch pedal, and this cured it. Have posted in a few threads on this forum and on TalkFord about it if you do a search. So it seems that the 2ltr Diesel engine is made in France or Sweden. I initially thought it was in Dagenham, UK but it seems the 2.2 only is made there. Ford Year: 2007. UK/Ireland Location: Devon. Posted April 6, 2018. Hi Ladies and Gents. I hope you are all well. I have a 2007 Mondeo Titanium X 2.0 TDCI and last week my ABS and TCS lights came on at the Lights. It had an MOT yesterday and the car failed, only on the fault above. I had it hooked up to the diagnostics which showed a fault with f5T34. May 30, 2023 by Jason. If your Ford Mondeo has a faulty throttle body, it can cause it to run terribly. Common symptoms of a bad throttle body include dirt and grime, the check engine light, and an erratic idle. Your Mondeo’s throttle body controls the amount of air that enters the engine. For a few weeks I've been There are three major reasons why oiling issues will cause your Mondeo to knock. The knocking sound isn’t as deep as throwing a rod, but it’s very noticeable. No oil at all. Lack of oil pressure (oil pump, worn engine, or sludge buildup from infrequent oil changes) Water or coolant in the oil. Brake Hose. The brake hose that attaches to the Mondeo’s caliper will often cause the brakes to stick. They may appear to be fine on the outside, but can break apart and collect debris on the inside. When this happens, it effectively traps pressure in the line. This keeps the brakes from releasing all of the way, and they stick as a result. When the gear knob is off carefully lift there lift revers off careful not to tip the spring out and place it to one side. Lift the old gaiter off and leave the plastic piece with the 2 arms where it is. My old gaiter was strongly stapled in place on the base take the staples off with care not to crack the plastic base.
