Constantly. Turns out the inertia (fuel cutoff) switch was overly sensitive. The inertia switch is Ford's fail safe in an accident. In the event of a hard impact or general "bang", the switch kicks off. Usually located on a Ford Pickup in the dash, behind the glovebox (or below, in some cases) you can't miss the big red button.

2 posts Ā· Joined 2009. #10 Ā· Jan 19, 2010. i have the same problem. my 2000 gt did the same thing, go back to your fuel pump driver module and locate pin #3, then ground it if the fuel pump comes on and runs, then i would look at the pcm>fuel driver module harness. if id doesnt come on but makes a slight arc. then the fuel pump is shot.
